Homeowners and business owners can rest assured that they are getting the best when they choose an Efficiency First contractor.  From energy audits to heating and cooling, Efficiency First contractors participate in monthly idea-generating meetings that help the home performance industry move forward.

On the local level, Efficiency First Kansas City (EFKC) holds meetings to discuss the advancement of local programs, hold seminars and workshops, volunteer for community events, and promote home performance and energy efficiency.  We have several open meetings, so be sure to check our calendar to see when you can attend one and see what EFKC is all about!

We're starting to plan our second Energy Efficiency Open House at Project Living Proof. The last one we had was a success with over 300 energy curious people touring the home and learning from energy experts. We have a tentative date of October 21, 2017. Click here for more information.

We Offer Free Workshops

Community groups, homeowners associations, landlords, businesses, anyone - if you want to get a better sense of your home or business and how to make it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, we can help!  We offer free workshops that cover everything from changing light bulbs to solar panels.  Get to know your building and how to make it more energy efficient.

We'll also explain the incentives available in the Kansas City area from free audits to no-interest loan programs.  New federal tax credits; programs from KCP&L, Missouri Gas Energy, Independence Power & Light, and BPU; state tax deductions are all available and we know a lot about them!

The workshop is about 1 1/2 hours and we have giveaways, coupons, and other fun stuff.  Email us to get your free workshop scheduled:  kc@efkc.org
